Harry Houdini

Harry Houdini a great magician and a personality to be admired

For him, many say that has surpassed the famous Wizard of Oz. He worked miracles and great sensational illusions that the world remembered. In 1908 in New York after months of preparations he made the greatest magic show in the world. His program was composed of eighteen great illusions for which he used forty assistants. It is difficult to list all his great tricks. From scarves he pulled out a large living goose. For this trick he received a golden watch from Emperor Franz Jozef. He successfully performed in London, where the Prince of Wales gave him a special award.
The great Harry Houdini was an enigma. He died under unusual circumstances. Officially he died of peritonitis after he asked one of his students to him with his fists in the belly to show him how strong he is. A few days later, Houdini got a seizure and high temperature. But despite this he started his show and collapsed on the stage from pain. They were able to revive him in the locker room, after which he continued his performance. After that he was hospitalized and died at 52 years of life.
One of his best tricks, which did not involve a Houdini escape or release from bondage, was disappearance of elephant Jennie, with which he had a performance in New York Hippodrome in 1918. No one ever discovered the secret of his success, but apparently this trick Houdini took from the illusionist Charles Morrita, who sold him few of his tricks.
